This week, our school community came together to celebrate a truly special milestone, 21 years of dedicated and inspiring service by Mrs. Paula McConnell.
As our Foundation Stage teacher, Mrs. McConnell has been a beacon of honesty, compassion, and tireless dedication. Her fantastic work ethic and genuine care for each child made every student feel valued and nurtured. She consistently upheld and embodied our school values of respect, kindness, honesty, and cooperation.
The Mass held in her honour was a beautiful tribute to her years of service. It was a special occasion of thanksgiving and gratitude, with the entire school community participating in the celebration. Special thanks to Canon McGahan for leading the Mass with such warmth and reverence. We are also grateful to Mrs. McGinley and Mrs. Mohan for preparing the music, to our wonderful children’s choir and soloists whose voices added a joyful spirit to the ceremony.
We then continued the celebration of Mrs. McConnell’s retirement with a lovely tea party held in the school. A massive thank you to our Parent Support Association and all our parents for their incredible help in preparing the school for the event, and for providing the beautiful home baking and generous selection of food that was served. Your support made the occasion even more special and memorable.
Mrs. McConnell, your impact as a teacher, mentor, and leader has been truly special. Through your dedication and care, you have shaped the lives of countless children, helping them grow into confident, independent individuals. Your legacy of compassion, integrity, and commitment will continue to inspire our school community for years to come.
