What an incredible day we had during our second STEM Day! Our pupils took to the skies as they explored the fascinating world of flight through hands-on learning.
P3 and P4 pupils learned how birds fly and designed and tested their own flying cup creations.
P5, P6 and P7 used simple materials to build wind-powered fans, learning about aerodynamics and exploring how air movement can create energy.
The highlight of the day however was when our budding astronauts launched their own rockets and watched them soar through the sky with the playground being transformed into a launchpad as we tested our creations. Laughter, cheers, and gasps of amazement could be heard as rockets zoomed through the air. It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to apply their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork in a fun way.
