Green Day 2026
On Friday our school celebrated Green Day in honour of St.Patrick, our patron saint. Pupils and staff dressed in “forty shades of green” and we were treated to a wonderful display of Irish music, singing, dancing and plenty of Irish themed fun.
A special highlight was the fantastic P3/4 assembly, where pupils delivered a thoughtful and engaging performance all about honesty and forgiveness. Their confident retelling of the story of Zacchaeus and beautiful singing made us all incredibly proud.
Adding to the excitement, our pupils took part in a brilliant Scoil Spreagtha live singing lesson, joining schools across the country in celebrating Irish culture through song. Key Stage 2 pupils also put their knowledge to the test in our lively Irish themed Kahoot quiz, where teamwork, quick thinking and plenty of competition made for an energetic learning experience.
We loved seeing our fantastic, talented children immerse themselves in all the St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans, and we’re delighted to share some of these memorable moments with our families.
Happy St.Patrick’s Day from all in Aughadarragh!
