Learning about Irish Trees in P5/P6
16th Jan 2026
Last term, our P5 and P6 pupils had a wonderful time learning all about local Irish trees, taking their curiosity outdoors to explore the natural world around them. They used their senses to craft beautiful leaf inspired poetry, identified a variety of trees growing in and around the school grounds, and even carried out a fascinating investigation into capillary action to discover how water travels through a tree’s roots. It was a term filled with discovery, creativity, lots of fresh air! Our pupils may be little acorns now, but they’re already showing signs of becoming mighty oaks in the making!
