The Knockmany Cup Tournament took place today under damp and overcast conditions, but the weather did little to dampen the enthusiasm and determination of all who took part. Despite the challenging conditions, our boys and girls played with tremendous heart, skill and teamwork throughout the day.
Our girls, emerged victorious in the Shield Competition after a closely fought and exciting final against our neighbours St. Macartan’s. It was a tense and competitive encounter, with very little separating the sides throughout. However, our girls held their nerve and showed great teamwork to secure the victory and claim the Fergal McCann Shield. This was a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved reward for the hard work and determination.
We are extremely proud of all our players who represented our school today. Well done to everyone involved, and a special congratulations to our girls on their brilliant win.
A massive thankyou to our Parent Support Association, the staff of our school, the referees and the members of Augher Club whose hard work and support helped make the day a massive success.
