Primary Three and Four Enjoy Outdoor Learning
Today, we enjoyed walking together around the beautiful Aughadarragh countryside. What were we doing? We were learning all about Autumn and the changes taking place around us. We used our senses to take in the crunchy, colourful, mouldy leaves, the variety of trees and the birds singing! After collecting lots of fallen leaves we set about sorting them as we had been learning how to identify different types of trees by their leaves. The P.4s proceeded to try and count them. We saw how “The Land of the Oak” got its name as the set with the most leaves was indeed the oak! Didn’t we have a great time!
