Today we had a treat! One week after our amazing run in the forest, we attended the Forest School in Knockmany.
Our leaders were from the local council and we want to thank them for our fun-filled morning of planned activities. We learned about the wildlife and trees all around us. Then we were able to examine the variety of nests which they had rescued from the forest floors! We saw nests made by swallows, crows, robins and even wasps....then we began to do what our P3 pupil called, “think like a bird” and set about building nests. The creative thinking of these pupils was endless, one group made a woodpecker’s nest plus a holiday nest destination! Have a look at our little video to see what we got up to....
